Style of music: Roots Music / Folk Rock / Surf

Inspirations: Bob Dylan, Guns n\' Roses, Bob Marley, Sublime, Grateful Dead, Black Crowes, Jack Johnson, Descendents, Rolling Stones, Pennywise, The Beatles, Sam Cooke, G. Love, Metallica, Run DMC, Ben Harper

Biography: SLACKSTRING is the perfect moniker for the band; laid back, groovy music providing the soundtrack for summer barbecues and the sport of sunset watching. Comprised of four guys born and raised adjacent to the Pacific Ocean in Manhattan Beach, CA, the sound of SLACKSTRING was crafted as much by the beach lifestyle as it was by local musical influences from classic bands like The Doors and The Beach Boys to neighborhood punk pioneers Pennywise and Descendents. Their sound has been described as Pure Feel-Good Music by L.A. newspaper The Daily Breeze, and a desert island CD by their legions of dedicated fans.

Avid

Style of music: Alternative, to Pop-Punk and Hard Rock

Inspirations:

Biography: Avid is a three-piece modern rock band from Eugene, Oregon that was conceived in the heart of the late 90's. With elements of alternative, to pop-punk and hard rock, the band always stays fresh with new and innovative ideas, ranking them top-notch in their own league. Their songs have catchy melodies and hooks, as they cater to a constantly growing fan-base.

JD Romance

Style of music: Encal (England meets California Rock)

Inspirations: Beatles, Strokes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sounds of Animals Fighting, Radiohead, Chiodos, Bled, Pennywise, Sleeping, Artic Monkeys, The Killers, 311.

Biography: We view ourselves in the future recording more albums (starting second album 4/1/07), touring, selling merchandise. Playing lots of shows.
